SPORTS DAY

The weather forecast for the week appears to be favourable, so we are planning to hold our sports day this Friday, 2nd June.  Mrs Breen and Mrs Mellon’s classes will begin around 10.00am with P.4-P.7 pupils commencing at 11.30am approximately.  Children need not wear their uniform on Friday, but should wear sporting attire.  As always, parents are welcome to come along and enjoy the craic.

MATHS TRAIL

Pupils in P.5/P.6 will be participating in a ‘Maths Trail’ here in our own school tomorrow morning.  We will be hosting pupils from St. Lawrence’s P.S. and Denamona P.S. Fintona tomorrow so hopefully the weather will play its part and remain settled.

Pupils in P.3/P.4 will then travel to St. Lawrence’s on Monday morning for their Maths Trail.  Hopefully all involved will have a fun but educationally beneficial morning.

Both Maths Trails will be wrapped up before lunch time, so usual dinner arrangements will apply.

GOOD LUCK BRANDON

A big congratulations and good luck to P.4 pupil Brandon Downey who has been invited to attend a trial for the Swansea City F.C. Soccer Academy.  Brandon’s trial will take place in mid-June and obviously everyone in the school community will be right behind him on his big day.  Good luck Brandon!!

CONGRATULATIONS

Well done to our cross-country runners who did so well in Greencastle last week.  In the girls section P.6 pupil Lucy McCann came in 5th place from a field of over 75 girls.  Meanwhile a very youthful boys team of Eoghan McGrath, Brandon Downey, D-Jay Crowne and Finn McGillin finished runners-up in the overall boys event – a fantastic achievement.  Indeed, well done to all who attended and completed a very gruelling run on the warmest day of the year.
