PRIZE-GIVING NIGHT

Our annual prize-giving night will be held in the school on Wednesday night at 7.30pm.  This is always a very enjoyable night when we celebrate the achievements of all our pupils.  All are welcome to attend – pupils are asked to wear their school uniform.  (Any pupil yet to return a cup or shield from last year is asked to do so immediately).

CROSS COUNTRY EVENT

Good luck to all our athletes P.4-7 who are participating in a cross-country event at Omagh Leisure Complex tomorrow morning.  This is a slightly different event in that there are a number of races all age related so as to ensure a more competitive event.  The first race is at 11.00am approximately.

HOLY FAMILY CUP

Another football event sees the annual Holy Family Cup which will be held in Healy Park Omagh on Friday.  Hopefully our pupils can give another good account of themselves as they were beaten in the final of the Paddy Bogan Cup in Beragh last Friday – maybe this Friday they can go one step further and bring home some silverware.

POLICIES FOR CONSULTATION

Draft policies in First Aid, Safe Handling & Using Reasonable Force and Anti-Bullying are now open for consultation until Friday, 23rd June.  These policies can be found under the ‘Consultation Documents’ tab on our school website www.sacredheartprimary.com.  Anyone unable to access these online can request a hard copy by contacting the school office.  Should you wish to contribute thoughts or opinions please do so in writing on or before 23rd June 2017.

SWIMMING GALA

Good luck to our swimming team of D-Jay Crowne, Christopher Webster, Cormac McEnhill and Jack McCrory who will represent the school at the annual Inter-Schools’ Swimming Gala at Omagh Leisure Complex on Thursday morning.

MRS TEAGUE

After a teaching career of over 30 years Mrs Mary Teague has now decided to retire.  Mary taught in the school since 1986 and was always a very hard-working, professional and dedicated member of staff.  Mary has been on a career break for the past 5 years to care for her elderly mother but has now intimated that she will be retiring.  We are holding a collection for a retirement gift on behalf of the pupils and anyone wishing to contribute should give any donations to the school office.
