Monday 30th April 2018 Weekly Note

CONGRATULATIONS CAROL

A huge congratulations is extended to P.7 pupil Carol McKnight who became Tyrone Champion in the Easons Spelling Bee competition held in the school last Thursday. The standard of spelling had to be seen to be believed, but Carol fought off all her opposition before triumphing by virtue of spelling ‘ultrafastidious’ correctly! Carol will now represent Tyrone in the Ulster final to be held in Belfast on 24th May. Well done Carol!

SPEAK OUT! STAY SAFE!

The school will be hosting a ‘Speak Out! Stay Safe!’ information day on Thursday. This programme will be delivered by Lisa Norris from the NSPCC. All pupils will attend an age related assembly on Thursday when they will be given the knowledge they need to stay safe from abuse. An additional parental workshop is being held in the school on Thursday afternoon from 2.15 – 3.15pm in relation to internet safety. Representatives from mobile network O2 will be in attendance to help educate parents in how to protect their children from online dangers in this increasingly technological world.
