TIN WHISTLE
As mentioned last week, tin whistle lessons begin in the school tomorrow for all pupils in P.3-P.7. We ask that you play your part by encouraging practice so as to maximise the benefit of these lessons. All whistles should be clearly labelled with your child’s name on it. Whistles can be bought in the school at a cost of £4.
WRAP AROUND CARE INFORMATION EVENING
The Wrap Around Care information evening originally scheduled for tomorrow night has been switched to next Tuesday, 25th September at 8.00pm. All are welcome to attend to listen to Cornabracken Day Care Leader, Melanie O’Kane outline what’s available in the planned wrap around service.
P.4 SACRAMENTAL DATES/DO THIS IN MEMORY PROGRAMME
Dates for P.4’s First Communion and First Confession have been arranged. First Confession will be heard in Drumragh on Monday, 25th March at 7.00pm, while First Communion will be celebrated in Drumragh on Saturday, 18th May 2019 at 12.30pm.
P.4 pupils will participate in the ‘Do This In Memory’ programme in preparation for their First Communion. A meeting outlining this programme will be held in St. Joseph’s Hall next Monday (24th Sept.) at 8.15pm. All P.4 parents are encouraged to attend. (Pupils do not need to attend).
SCHOOL MASS
Our annual Mass to celebrate the beginning of the school year will be celebrated in the school next Thursday, 27th September at 1.30pm. All are most welcome to attend.
BAG PACK
Many thanks are extended to our Parents’ Association and others who gave of their time so willingly to participate in Saturday’s ‘Bag Pack’ in Asda.

A number of Safeguarding documents will accompany your eldest child this afternoon. Please take time to peruse these. Other Safeguarding Documents can be accessed on our school website www.sacredheartprimary.com under the ‘Safeguarding’ tab. We ask that parents return the signed documents referred to in your correspondence asap. Thank you for your co-operation.
TRANSFER REGISTRATION
Parents of P.7 pupils planning to sit this year’s Transfer Test should ensure that their child is registered for the exam no later than this Friday, 21st September at 2.00pm. Registration can be done at the local grammar school of your choice.
