TRANSFER TEST

Well done to all our pupils who participated in Saturday’s Transfer exam. All lived to tell the tale and will now await the results in the New Year.  All have worked hard in preparation for the test and should be commended for their efforts, irrespective of the grade achieved.

PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS

Many thanks to all who attended last week’s Parent/Teacher meetings. These are, of course, a key factor in ensuring that your child’s potential is met and your interest is vital.

Anyone who was unable to attend last week, feel free to contact your child’s class teacher to arrange a mutually convenient date.

CHRISTMAS PLAYS

Just a reminder of Christmas Play dates –

Mrs Breen & Mrs Mellon’s Classes               Friday, 14th December at 1.30pm

Mrs Mellon’s & Mr McElholm’s Classes      Tuesday, 18th December at 7.30pm

*Just to clarify that Mrs Mellon’s class will be performing their show on both dates

DO THIS IN MEMORY MASS

A little reminder that the next ‘Do This In Memory Mass’ for P.4 pupils will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday (24th Nov.) at 6.00pm.

THANK YOU

The school suffered a heating breakdown over the past fortnight. We wish to acknowledge the extremely kind gesture of Shane & Andrea McCrory who offered the school the loan of a number of their electric cast iron radiators, thus ensuring that classes could continue as normal and the school remain open.  Thank you Shane & Andrea, your helpfulness was gratefully appreciated.

CONGRATULATIONS BRANDON

A huge congratulations is extended to P.6 pupil Brandon Downey who competed in the Ulster Elite Schools Cross-Country event last weekend. In spite of conceding 2 years to most of his competitors, who represented all manner of athletic clubs throughout Ulster, Brandon finished in an excellent 8th place and therefore gained automatic entry into the All-Ireland final to be held in early December.  A fantastic achievement – well done Brandon!!
