TRANSFER RESULTS

Well done to all our P.7 pupils who endured a nerve-wrecking Saturday morning, before the post arrived with Transfer grades. As mentioned previously, irrespective of grades awarded, all pupils should be proud of their efforts and if they maintain their current good attitude towards their work, will succeed – regardless of which school they transfer to.

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

As part of Catholic Schools’ Week we will be having our annual Grandparents’ Day on Wednesday morning at 11.00am. Our grandparents are warmly invited to attend for an hour or so of light ‘entertainment’ and a chance to see around the school. We look forward to seeing you then. (Unfortunately in order to manage numbers, we confine this invitation to Grandparents of pupils in P.1 – P.4).

CREDIT UNION QUIZ

Good luck to all our P.5/6/7 pupils who will represent the school in the Credit Union Quiz on Friday night in Fintona Golf Club. The quiz commences at 8.00pm but the pupils involved will be given a separate note later in the week.

NEW ENROLMENT

Application forms for parents planning to enrol their child in P.1 next September are available online at www.eani.org.uk/admissions. Should you be aware of anyone with a child in this age group, please remind them that completed application forms need to be submitted online by Thursday, 30th January 2020.

SERVICE OF LIGHT

Our P.7 pupils along with their parents and sponsors are invited along to a Service of Light in the Sacred Heart Church next Monday night (3rd Feb) at 7.30pm. All families are encouraged to attend and pupils are asked to wear their school uniforms.

CONGRATULATIONS BRANDON

A huge congratulations is extended to Brandon Downey who travelled to Mallusk last Wednesday and became the N. Ireland Cross Country champion. Competing against over 200 of the best athletes in the country, Brandon covered the 1600m course in an amazing time of 6 minutes 8 seconds to win by a clear 5 seconds. A wonderful achievement and one of which he should be rightly proud!!

We must also recognise the fine efforts of P.6 student Alana Teague who despite conceding a year to her opponents, finished in a very commendable 70th place, again from a field of over 200. Hopefully Alana can continue to build on her great improvement this year to be back in the mix next year!!

HEADLICE

There has been an incidence of headlice reported in the school. Please be aware of the possible presence of these unwanted visitors in your child’s hair. Should any parent require ‘advice leaflets’ please contact the school.
